TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – There are hundreds way to serve your avocado other than served in juice. You could turn it as guacamole, add it to your fruit soup, shrimp cocktail or salsa. But today we are going to talk about avocado wedge fries.
This recipe was made by a Michelin-Star chef of Manhattan restaurant Cote, David Shim. “My most favorite avocado dish is making avocado wedge fries. It’s a bit of a different way to eat them, but I really love them, ” as he said at the Insider.
This food is quite simple. All you really need are four ingredients: avocados, flour, eggs, and panko bread crumbs. Just it.
First, cut your avocados into wedges. Stir the egg in a bowl. Coat each wedge in flour and dip it in an egg wash before covering it with the bread crumbs. Then just fry all your wedges until they’re golden brown. Simple.
These avocado wedge fries will be crunchy on the outside and super creamy on the inside. You can dip it in mayo or some other sweet sauce. Shim recommends you to serve it with any cheese dips you have in your fridge. (*)
